A man suspected of at least one of two mass shootings at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, made a brief appearance in court on Saturday.

Tarrant has been identified as a suspected white supremacist, based on his social media activity.

One man who said he was at the Al Noor mosque told media the gunman burst into the mosque as worshippers were kneeling for prayers.

Mr Morrison said there had been discussions between Senators Mathias Cormann and Penny Wong about a bipartisan motion when Parliament returns in April. The camera attached to his head recording the massacre follows the barrel of his weapon, like some macabre video game.

The gunman then walks back into the mosque, where there are at least two dozen people lying on the ground.

During a second shooting at the Linwood Masjid Mosque, seven people were killed. Two improvised explosive devices had been found in the vehicle and disabled.

Clarke Jones, a terrorism expert at Australia National University, says it was "inevitable" that this sort of attack was to take place.

Two other people were in custody and police said they were working to understand their involvement.

None of those arrested had a criminal history or was on any watchlist in New Zealand or Australia. He received a phone call Friday morning from his brother-in-law Adan Ibrahin Dirie, who was in the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Christchurch residents including the Muslim community are mourning the victims of the attacks.

"It's been a pleasure to know you all guys".

He said the Al Noor mosque is the largest in Christchurch, and that the shooting started 15 minutes before Friday prayers, when many people were still in the parking lot or walking toward the mosque.

Mourinho: Perfect reunion for Zidane and Real Madrid
The team has fallen into crisis since he left in May after winning an unprecedented third straight Champions League. Perez labelled Zidane as the "best manager in the world" as he thanked him for his loyalty to Los Blancos.

"We New Zealanders were not chosen for this act of violence because we condone this racism, or because we are an enclave of extremism, we were chosen for the very fact that we are none of these things", she said.

Ms Ardern said the victims came from across the Muslim world, with Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Malaysia among the countries rendering consular assistance.

Daoud Nabi had lived in New Zealand for more than 40 years after fleeing Afghanistan as a refugee in the late 1970s, and believed his adopted home to be a "slice of paradise", his son Omar told AFP. "I'm not sure how to deal with this".

One more person died later at Christchurch Hospital.

Violent crime is rare in New Zealand and police do not usually carry guns, though mass shootings have occurred previously.

The floral tributes grow on Deans Avenue near the Al Noor Mosque as locals pay tribute to those who were killed March 16 in Christchurch, New Zealand. "She came here for the peace.now she is shocked", he said, adding his mother was too afraid to leave her house.

There are people who I would describe as having extremist views that have absolutely no place in New Zealand and in fact have no place in the world.

They moved swiftly to stay in line with the Islamic custom that dictates the deceased should be buried within 24 hours of their passing.

She did not offer too much detail, but said a ban on semi-automatic weapons would be looked at. That number has grown consistently throughout the years, with New Zealand reporting only 1.3 million such firms in 2016, 1.2 million in 2009 and less than a million in 2005.

The judge briefed the media before the hearing, saying videos and photographs were only released by approved New Zealand media outlets including TVNZ and RNZ.

"Has there been travel to the United States?" The alleged gunman obtained a gun license in November 2017.

"My message was sympathy and love for all Muslim communities", she said she told him.
