The service has been described as "Netflix for news", allowing members to read an unlimited amount of content from partnered publishers for a set monthly fee.

Apple News is a service for Apple devices that delivers current news curated by editors with some level of personalization.

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently teased that "new services" from Apple are coming in 2019 during an interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer.

Apple doesn't typically hold more than one spring media event, though it could this year. So if you've been waiting for the new iPad & iPad Mini, new iPod, and second-gen AirPods, you'll probably need to wait a little longer.

According to Buzzfeed, Apple's event is scheduled for Monday, March 25th at the Steve Jobs theater. Apple is trying to boost its revenue from services, and its next major introduction is expected to be a paid news subscription through the Apple News app on iOS. The Apple News subscription service is said to be the biggest highlight of the event, even as the company is running to resistance from larger publishers over the proposed financial terms.

It is worth noting that the report does suggest the company may change its plans if it can't nail down negotiations with publishers.

Thai Princess disqualified from running for PM post
This was considered a shocking move as it broke a longstanding tradition of members of the royal family staying outside politics. There are 69 names, including that of current Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, on the list.

If the rumor proves to be true, the AirPods 2 release date could coincide with the iPhone 11's predicted launch date in early September.

"The news service is not moving the needle for Apple bulls but it speaks to a strategic shift within Cupertino to focus on services separate than hardware releases".

BuzzFeed News says that Apple declined to comment on the report.

In addition to asking for a revenue cut that is way higher than what App Store publishers must pay, Apple is also asking for select publishers to commit to using the news platform for a minimum of one year. The New York Times and the Washington Post are said to be among the publishers that are not happy with Apple's terms.
