NY state's Attorney General, Barbara Underwood, is looking for information about an apparent violent attack by extremist group The Proud Boys and will push for a "thorough investigation", she announced via Twitter on Friday night.

Videos posted on YouTube show clashes between the Proud Boys and groups that were protesting McInnes' speech.

Slurs and expletives can be heard in video showing the fight, as men kicked and punched several protesters on the sidewalk. No serious injuries were reported, however, and police said the victims refused medical attention.

So far the NYPD has made three arrests connected to the brawl that erupted a few blocks from the Metropolitan Republican Club.

Proud Boys leader Gavin McInnes held a rally for around 50 people at the vandalized Manhattan GOP headquarters on Friday. The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated the Proud Boys a hate group.

In total, nine members of the "Proud Boys," a right-wing, men-only activist group founded by Gavin McInnes, now of CRTV, could face charges.

Turkey to search Saudi consulate Monday: diplomatic source
Benchmark Brent crude now trades above $80 a barrel and US gasoline prices have risen ahead of the midterm elections. The two companies said in separate statements Sunday that they wouldn't attend the Saudi investor conference.

"There is a difference between being provided with information and having a prosecutable case", NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea said.

Shea said Monday that three more protesters were to be arrested for the brawl, too.

Police are investigating vandalism outside the Metropolitan Republican Club that appeared Thursday night.

Damage included smashed windows, a spray-painted door and a keypad lock covered in glue, according to state party officials. A note was reportedly left saying the attack "is merely a beginning".

Republicans called on Democrats to denounce the destruction of property.

During a trip to Israel in 2017, McInnes said that his visit was making him anti-Semitic, that Israelis have a "whiny paranoid fear of Nazis", and that Jews were ultimately responsible for World War II. "They may be trying to lie about it today, but they can't because it's in writing and it's clear", the governor said. "You have proven yourself to be unworthy of your responsibilities".
