  • Jimmy Butler requested trade from Timberwolves

When the Minnesota Timberwolves acquired Jimmy Butler previous year before the season began many people speculated about how good the team could be. According to Shams Charania, Butler has given Minnesota a list of "one-to-three teams" with whom he is open to signing an extension with. The clubs in contention: The Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers.

Butler, 29, has a player option in 2019-20 before becoming a free-agent.

Democrats have comported themselves horribly during the Kavanaugh hearings, but no one has been more irresponsible than Warren. Overall, conservatives have pushed back on the accusation and any investigation of the behavior described in the letter .

From the Timberwolves' perspective, the 22-year-old Russell is an appealing player because he's on the same developmental track as Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Faried is included mostly to make the salaries match - he could provide some energy and rebounding this season or the Wolves could try to flip his expiring contract before the trade deadline. It's hard to develop much of a market if only a few teams would be involved.

That happened, sort of, as the Wolves won 47 games and landed the eighth and final playoff seed in the Western Conference before bowing out to the top-seeded Houston Rockets in just five games in the first round.

But after dealing several promising young pieces for Butler last offseason, there's pressure on Thibodeau and Co.to recoup value in a potential trade of Butler, should they indeed choose to make one. And if the Sixers are able to acquire Butler without giving up Markelle Fultz, a core of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, Fultz, and Butler would certainly work.
