Pochettino has refused to divulge whether, in addition to the £50,000 fine and 20-month driving ban that Lloris received in court, he has also been fined by Tottenham.

Lloris, along with Dele Alli, is injured and will miss the visit of Liverpool to Wembley tomorrow, but the French World Cup victor will resume the club captaincy when he comes back.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed Hugo Lloris would have accepted being stripped of the captaincy following his drink-driving conviction.

The Spurs captain had to be helped from his £65,000 Porsche Panamera by police who stopped him a month after he had led France to World Cup victory.

Pochettino will be disappointed to be without two of his key players as they look to bounce back from the Watford defeat when they take on fellow title rivals Liverpool this weekend. He made a mistake and he's suffering all the punishment of society.

Pochettino said: "We are always confident we can beat any team".

Though she's always been an activist for her favored causes of education and same-sex marriage, running for office is new to her. Despite enthusiasm for Nixon in some quarters and on social media, Cuomo has held substantial leads against Nixon in the polls .

"That is a massive lesson for everyone. Because he is clever he'll learn and now he is going to move on".

He said a taxi which had booked cancelled so Lloris made "the first of a number of unwise decisions" and chose to drive home. We are not God and we can not judge people.

"Only we need to try, that he understands, and how he understands that it was a mistake. I made a mistake and now I need to pay".

'I am learning a lot!' Pochettino joked.

'And of course it's more complicated today to be a manager than 20 or 30 years ago'.

Meanwhile, midfielder Moussa Sissoko is expected to return to training next week after a hamstring injury.
