  • Harvey Weinstein Accuser Releases Video of Creepy Business Meeting Before Alleged Rape

The footage, given to by United Kingdom -based Sky News, shows a 2011 meeting in New York City in which Melissa Thompson, then 28 years old, is pitching her web video and analytics start-up to the Hollywood producer for the Weinstein Company.

Apparently, Thompson had visited The Weinstein Company offices in NY to make a business pitch for her company's services and had recorded their meeting as part of the demo.

Thompson recorded the meeting as part of the demo, and in the video obtained by Sky News, it's immediately clear that something is amiss.

"Data's so hot", Thompson says later in the video. "So am I allowed to flirt with you?" he then asks, as they sit down and prepare to start the discussion. She says that upon arrival, she was ushered into an empty office where she turned on her laptop's video camera, intending to use the live footage she was shooting as part of her demonstration. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?" he can be heard saying.

She replies: "A little bit... a little high, that's a little high, that's a little high".

At points in the video Ms Thompson appears flustered, and loses her train of thought as she tries to continue her pitch.

Thompson said she later met Weinstein at a nearby hotel bar, where she said she expected to close the technology deal.

Instead, she alleges, he lured her to his hotel room, where he raped her. The sexual assault survivor released a recording, shown by Sky News that was filmed in 2011.

In a statement, Weinstein's lawyer Benjamin Brafman said: "The video, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties ..."

House GOP Seeks to Make Trump Tax Cuts PERMANENT — MIDTERM MESSAGE
House of Representatives nationwide, American voters back Democratic candidates over Republicans by 52 to 38 percent, the poll showed.

"Anything short of that is meant to make Mr. Weinstein appear inappropriate and even exploitative", lawyer Ben Brafman said. "This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr. Weinstein for financial gain, and we will not stand for it. Facts do matter".

"I think there was a combination of confidence and naivety that led me to this dynamic that we see now, watching back", she said.

Thompson went on to describe how she worked on Wall Street, a male-dominated arena.

She told Sky News she wanted to keep the conversation professional and politely pushed back at his advances while also trying to preserve the deal.

Weinstein has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.

Weinstein has been charged in NY with assaulting three women, but not Thompson. They said the secret grand jury documents provided to the judge were enough to show they presented evidence "fairly and in a manner that was not misleading".

The footage, which has never been broadcast before, shows him hugging, touching and making sexually suggestive comments to 28-year-old Melissa Thompson.

Several actresses and models accused Weinstein of criminal sexual assaults.

Weinstein is due back in court in Manhattan Sept. 20. Instead, he brought her to a hotel room where he allegedly raped her.
