  • Here's Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Royale Mode, Blackout

Well here it is, our first real look at Blackout, the brand new battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. During that brief timespan, we get a look at some of the maps, a variety of weapons, vehicles in action, and more.

Battle Royale is a much bigger stretch for Call Of Duty than it is for Battlefield and it seems that developer Treyarch is having to make some compromises to their usual standards.

Florence continues to intensify and East Coast landfall appears imminent (free access)
This could become an extremely risky situation for folks in those areas, who should monitor the progress of this storm closely. Loewenthal said the area should prepare to see impacts, including rough surf and risky rip currents, as early as Sunday.

A big part of this will be down to the fact that Blackout now supports up to 80 players on a single map, which was a technical challenge for those behind the Call of Duty engine. We also get a glimpse of what Nuketown Island is all about, and it looks to be just as fun as promised. Treyarch's new trailer for Blackout, released on 6 September in conjunction with publisher Activision, shows players will be able to fight in air, on sea, and on land - and even combat zombies. PlayStation 4 owners get a taste of the game mode first, ahead of the full game release on October 12 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Ahead of that, Treyarch will talk more about the Blackout beta during a livestream set for September 7. Those who participated in the multiplayer beta automatically have access to the Blackout beta. Despite Black Ops 4 not featuring cross-play fans will be happy to hear that there will be no platform-exclusive DLC, everything will be released at the same time across the board.

Blackout drops players into a last-player-standing experience that is uniquely Black Ops.
