Midfielder Set For Chelsea Exit A Year After Joining

Despite a number of English clubs expressing interest in his services, Drinkwater remained a Chelsea player at the close of the Premier League transfer window.

The midfielder has failed to establish himself as a first-team player at Chelsea since arriving from Leicester a year ago and was linked with a number of clubs - including Leicester - prior to the English transfer window closing.

At the moment Chelsea's midfielders include Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek alongside the 28-year-old Drinkwater.

He was superb for Crystal palace last time around.

Mateo Kovacic, the Croatia worldwide midfielder Chelsea signed on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid last week, did not feature but Sarri is understood to consider the 24-year-old a key part of his plans for the campaign.

But Trump, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal , connected Brennan and other intelligence officials with Mueller's probe. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who chairs the Foreign Relations Committee, said he was bothered by the president's move.

Loftus-Cheek has been with Chelsea since 2014 and has only made 24 appearances in that span.

Although Loftus-Cheek's potential decision to try and play his way into Sarri's new look 4-3-3 formation is commendable, the 22-year-old faces some incredibly stiff competition and a year of mainly featuring in the EFL Cup could be detrimental to what many would say has been a breakout year for him. "He has to improve from the tactical point of view", Sarri said after the match.

The club has zeroed in on Loftus Cheek, part of England's squad for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russian Federation, as a suitable replacement. "But I think that's not a problem".

Loftus-Cheek is minded to stay and fight for his place but Kovacic's arrival could yet force him into a rethink. Like I mentioned above, they have way too many quality players that will play before Loftus-Cheek.
