  • Core i9-9900K and i7-9700K turbo clocks revealed - 4.7 GHz with all eight cores

Come October 1st, Intel will unveil its 9th generation of chips, a new report reveals. It's said to be the first mainstream desktop Core i9 processor in addition to being the first Intel chip with 8 cores and 16 threads.

Purported Intel documentation referencing and detailing a pair of top-end Intel Core 9000 Series processors has leaked onto the internet.

Gerard Pique retires from Spain global team
Barcelona star defender Gerard Pique announced his retirement from global football Saturday following the 2018 World Cup. The 31-year-old made the last of his 102 global appearances in Spain's World Cup last-16 loss to Russian Federation .

Some Intel documentation surfaced on the pending Core i9 9900K and i7 9700K, while most information was already publicly available, the slides also show the various turbo clock frequencies, and they certainly are interesting. However, you can expect desktop PCs launching after October 1st to offer support for up to Intel 9th-gen chips. Finally there's the Core i5-9600K offering six cores and six threads with a base frequency of 3.7GHz boosting to 4.6GHz for one core. These three unlocked processors, however, are slated to be launched on October 1. As Intel is making hyperthreading an i9-only feature, the i7-9700K has eight threads. The Core i9 has a 16MB cache, base clock of 3.6GHz and boost clock up to 5.0 GHz (in single or dual core computing).

All three processors have a TDP of 95W, with the only other key differences being the cache and price. If these rumors are correct, more 9th Gen chips could launch in the first quarter of 2019. Four cores can run together at 4.8GHz, and it can utilise 6 or all physical cores and still achieve 4.7GHz.
