  • NFL player responds to Trump's tweet: 'What a goober'

A Broward County police union is calling for its members to return their Miami Dolphins tickets after some players protested during the national anthem at a preseason game this week.

U.S. President Donald Trump called on Friday for NFL players who kneeled during the national anthem to be suspended without pay, renewing his attack on the protesting athletes. This did not happen at last night's preseason game against Tampa Bay.

The Broward County Police Benevolent Association said it entered into an agreement with the Dolphins to offer its members discounted tickets to a game in the coming season. "This organization obviously DOES NOT honor First Responders and the dangers they put themselves in every day". "As a result, the BCPBA will no longer participate in this ticket program", the police union said in a Facebook post.

Dolphins wide receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson were the only players to kneel during the anthem, while teammate Robert Quinn raised his fist before facing the Buccaneers. Earlier this year they announced a new policy that said players who knelt during the anthem could be fined by their teams.

Modi said good neighbourly relations to promote peace and prosperity in the region were vital for New Delhi's Neighbourhood First policy. "I will try to work with all stakeholders", he said.

Dolphins coach Adam Gase has said he was not telling his players what to do during the anthem and the team did not have a policy regarding anthem protests before Thursday night's game. "Numerous players, from different teams, wanted to show their "outrage" at something that a lot of them are unable to define", he said in one tweet. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!

While Trump may not be able to suspend National Football League players, we guarantee he'll continue tweeting about the issue throughout the entire season so he can distract his racist fans from seeing how much of a dumpster fire his administration has been. "We have a lot of police officers in the county who are ex-military".

Despite the league's efforts to have a cooling-off period while it seeks a solution to the ongoing demonstrations with the NFL Players Association, it appears that things are already starting to escalate.
