No players knelt during the anthem that night.

Many NFL teams played their first preseason games on Thursday after a highly controversial offseason focused on the league's response to players who protest during the national anthem.

Despite that cooling-off declaration, Miami Dolphins wide receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson kneeled during before their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Michael Bennett of the Eagles did not participate in the anthem and instead walked out of the tunnel and toward the bench while the anthem was sung, Bowen reported.

Before the Eagles-Steelers game, Malcolm Jenkins and De'Vante Bausby raised a fist during the playing of the anthem. Teammate Chris Long reportedly "placed his arm around Jenkins' shoulder" during the song.

Milinkovic-Savic only thinking about Lazio
The Red Devils initially earmarked him as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini but, when the Belgium worldwide stayed put, they eased off.

Goodell announced the new anthem policy ― which requires players to "stand and show respect for the flag and anthem ― in response to the growing number of National Football League players who were joining Kaepernick's movement to spread awareness about racial injustice, sparking controversy nationwide".

The debate ratcheted up a notch in 2017 when US President Donald Trump said kneeling players showed "total disrespect for our great country". The NFL said in May that players had to stand at attention or stay in the locker room, with teams facing fines and individual players subject to team penalties.

During the NFL Network's television coverage of the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants game, 10 Giants were seen kneeling in unison in an end zone before the National Anthem was played.

The players' union filed a grievance about the policy change, and late last month, the new policy was put on hold while the NFL and NFL Players Association work on a resolution.
