A man seen in a widely circulated video provoking a Yellowstone National Park bison by waving his arms at the creature, prompting it to charge him, was arrested by rangers on suspicion of harassing wildlife, park officials said on Friday. He was booked into the Teton County jail, stayed overnight, then released on bond. This incident was just one of several run-ins with the law Reinke experienced over the past week in national parks, according to a National Park Service press release.
The press release also stated that Reinke appeared to be intoxicated and argumentative when he was cited and rangers believe the bison incident occurred shortly after the traffic stop. Reinke is now facing a number of charges, including harassing wildlife, which is a federal offense.
"We appreciate the collaboration of our fellow rangers in Glacier and Grand Teton national parks on this arrest".
De Minaur sets up final with Zverev
It is the first time four players of that age have reached the semi-finals of an ATP World Tour event since Buenos Aires in 1995. Important results: Washington Open: Quarterfinals Men: Stefanos Tsitsipas bt David Goffin 6-3, 6-4; Alex de Minaur w/o.
It was after the traffic stop that Reinke gained worldwide attention after other visitors posted videos on the bison-hazing incident. Yellowstone National Park rangers received numerous complaints from park visitors, and located Reinke that evening, issuing him a citation and requiring him to appear in court. He appeared in USA court Friday and was jailed pending a court hearing next week. The request was granted and a warrant was issued for Reinke's arrest Thursday.
A man was caught on video taunting a bison-who eventually goes from docile to fed up when it decides to fight back and chase the man off the road.
Reinke then gestures toward the woods and makes a snorting noise, similar to one a bison would make. Two guests were reportedly arguing and creating a disturbance in the hotel dining room. Reinke was a passenger in the vehicle and was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
Authorities began looking for Reinke, 55, after a Facebook video surfaced of him beating his chest and yelling at a bison causing the animal to get agitated and charge at him.
