  • Stormy Daniels arrested after strip club performance in Ohio lawyer

As part of a long-term investigation into allegations of human trafficking, prostitution, along with other vice related violations, Columbus Police arrested three individuals from Club Sirens at 6190 Cleveland Ave., during the early morning hours of July 12, 2018. TMZ broke the story. sources connected with the club tell us the undercover officers waited in the back of the club for Stormy to take the stage, appearing as if they were gunning for her.

Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti announced on Twitter Thursday that the charges against Daniels concerning alleged illegal sexual oriented activity have been dropped.

Mr Avenatti tweeted that Ms Daniels, real name Stephanie Clifford, had been performing "the same act she has performed across the nation at almost 100 strip clubs".

"We also expect that she will be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing 'touching.' We will vehemently contest all charges", he wrote online. OH strip club law reportedly prohibits patrons from touching a nude or seminude dancer unless the patron is a member of the dancer's immediate family.

Prosecutors say the "touching" statute only applies to strippers who "regularly appear" at the establishment.

Daniels will return to the same venue in Columbus Thursday night for another performance.

Avenatti called the operation "a setup and politically motivated". "I think it's an absurd use of law enforcement resources". "During her performance, a couple female undercover officers asked her if they could place their faces in between her breasts".

A Columbus police spokeswoman did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the arrest. Trump has denied it.

Daniels made the national spotlight this year due to a legal controversy with President Donald Trump, in which she claims she was coerced to sign a confidentiality contract to prevent her from talking about a former affair during the 2016 presidential campaign.

She was released on bail before 6am on Thursday.

The Columbus Police Department said in a statement that Daniels was one of three women arrested at the club.

Daniels, 39, has filed two civil lawsuits against Trump, with whom she said she had a sexual encounter in 2006, a decade before he was elected president.

Trump admitted in May that he reimbursed Cohen for the payment, although he said at the time he did not know what it was for.
