The Israeli Air Force on Monday attacked nine Hamas posts in the Gaza Strip after three projectiles were launched from the enclave, the military said.

Last week, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution condemning Israel's "extensive use of force" against the Palestinians in Gaza.

The predawn airstrikes came just a day after the previous Israeli five successive airstrikes on launchers of arson balloons and kites as well as military facilities in Gaza.

On Sunday, an Israeli military official warned that if the regime were to respond more harshly to the kites being sent from the Gaza Strip, it would lead to war, Hadashot TV said.

It's part of the continuing protest movement along the border fence separating Gaza and Israel, in which more than 120 Palestinians have been killed since March 30.

Israel's deadly tactics in confronting the weekly Friday protests have drawn worldwide condemnation.

Guterres told the Security Council that he "unequivocally condemns the steps by all parties that have brought us to this risky and fragile place" in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A toddler inside the 60-bed facility caught her eye - she was crying uncontrollably and pounding her little fists on the mat. Four of those passengers were pronounced dead at the scene and another at the hospital.

The protests have called for the right of return for refugees to their lands that their families fled or were driven from during Israel's founding 70 years ago.

Around two million people live in Gaza, a lot of them the stateless descendants of refugees from what is now Israel. Most of the global community considers settlements to be either illegal or illegitimate.

According to United Nations documentation, between May 8th-21st, Israeli forces conducted 177 search and arrest operations and arrested 220 Palestinians.

Israel has struggled to find an adequate way of dealing with the low-tech kites, which have sparked more than 400 fires and burned more than 6,000 acres of farmland, according to a spokesman for Israel's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

"The discovery of the network indicates Hamas' continued desire to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli targets, while undermining the current relative calm".

Israel and Egypt maintain a blockade of the strip, citing security reasons, which has caused an economic crisis and collapse in living standards there over the past decade.
