Multiple insider sources are telling Sports Illustrated that the reason Big Cass was sacked by WWE was due to his personal conduct while heavily drinking on the recent European tour, and being intoxicated in public.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Cass upset WWE officials because he went off-script during a segment on an episode of SmackDown Live on the USA Network that involved a little person, who was dressed as Daniel Bryan and ended with Cass beating him down in the middle of the ring. Bryan had arguably the spot of the match where he channeled his inner Kofi Kingston to jump from the turnbuckle to the outside, flying through the air before crashing into Cass' seven-foot frame.

According to Dave Meltzer, the decision came down from Vince McMahon on Tuesday in a meeting he had with Cass in Toledo.

Chicago gave Daniel Bryan one of his biggest ovations since returning to the ring earlier this year. Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso reports that Cass's release was mostly due to "personal conduct issues".

'Gaming disorder' diagnosed as mental health condition
Increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities. Games like Fortnite are more popular than ever, but they may also have renewed fears that games are damaging young minds.

The 30-year-old Cass has been part of WWE's main roster since 2016, and he signed a developmental deal with the company back in 2011. Barrasso notes that Cass would appear intoxicated in public, though it's unclear if this was just restricted to the European tour. The match opened the show, which aired on the WWE Network.

- Big Cass revealed on Twitter that he has been training with WWE 205 Live Superstar Drew Gulak as he prepares to face Daniel Bryan at Money In the Bank tonight.

I don't think we've heard the last of this story, so stay tuned.
