  • Hector Bellerin Named as One of Unai Emery's 5 'Untouchables' at Arsenal as New Regime Takes Shape

Bernd is a goalkeeper of high quality and experience.

The 26-year-old German, who has been at Leverkusen since 2011, is yet to have a medical with the Premier League club.

Leno, 26, brings immediate competition for the starting spot and most likely means Arsenal will sell one of their two previous goalkeepers - Cech or Colombia global David Ospina - though it remains unclear which one will have to give way.

Leno was part of the Germany squad that won the Confederations Cup last summer but has missed out on a spot in Joachim Low's World Cup squad.

"Following a number of extensive conversations with those at the club, and in particular a recent meeting with the new manager Unai Emery, I felt that I was ultimately left with little choice but to make the decision that I have due to purely footballing reasons".

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has already signed Swiss World Cup full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free from Juventus, and the addition of Leno suggests he is focused on sorting out Arsenal's defensive problems. "It's normal they have aspirations to play for big clubs, but I do not need to sell out".

Trump has drawn condemnation from across the political spectrum over the separation of children. "They're in schools. Warren also criticized the White House for not taking action to stop the controversial family separations.

Evidently, Wright is very impressed by the way Arsenal are approaching their summer business.

Xhaka is now at the World Cup with his national team - unlike Bellerin, who was passed over for Dani Carvajal and Álvaro Odriozola, with Nacho and Cesar Azpilicueta preferred by Julen Lopetegui as versatile backup options.

"Bernd has consistently performed well for our club over the years and has become a national player here".

They have faced competition for his signature from Italian giants Napoli, who can offer Champions League football for next season. Arsenal, because the club has always focused on young footballers.
