Dubbed a "nuisance alligator" by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission standards due to its size and threat level, the trespasser eventually found itself face-to-face with a trained trapper and a few accompanying police officers.

The witness told authorities he saw the woman walking two dogs and then noticed the dogs barking near the water, but he did not see the woman again, said Davie Police Detective Viviana Gallinal.

Another resident said a ranger once told her about the dangers of walking near the lake.

Trappers caught the gator Friday and found an arm inside its stomach, the Sun-Sentinel reported. Between 1948 and 2017, 401 people were bitten by alligators, including 24 fatalities, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission data.

The park is near Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami.

Police responding to the scene say they found a dog on a leash but could not find its owner.

Last month, he posthumously pardoned boxer Jack Johnson after meeting with Sylvester Stallone, who was invested in the case. Jared Kushner , Trump's son-in-law and advisor also met with West to discuss his efforts on prison reform.

"He had warned her not to take the dogs over to that place because they had seen gators before and it isn't safe", Limia said, relaying what he had heard from other neighbors.

Davie Police set up a staging area at Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park as officials search for a woman who went missing as she walked her dogs near the pond on June 8, 2018. Another woman said that her poodle vanished near the lake on Christmas and she suspected the dog had been eaten.

Borrelli said her husband was out of town and trying to find a way to fly home after finding out what happened. The alligator is believed to have dragged 47-year-old Shizuka Matsuki into a lake while she was walking her dogs Friday afternoon. Feeding wild alligators is illegal because they could lose their fear of humans.

Authorities closed the park Friday.

"He doesn't even know if she's still alive or not", the man said.

This developing story will be updated as more details become available.
