  • Android June Security bulletin is out: here’s what got fixed

Google has released the June 2018 Android security patches for its Pixel and Nexus devices.

The latest Android P update is rolling out to developer and beta participants starting Wednesday.

Surprisingly stable and smooth from the first beta quality release, the new mobile OS version is today moving up to the Beta 2 stage, aka the third Developer Preview, following a dev-friendly (read unstable) debut back in March.

Others can enroll their device in the Android Beta program. If you're not into that, you can download the Android P Factory Images here or flash the OTA Images which you can find here. Up until now, Android development teams are still securing the Android framework and Media framework, a process that begun with the Stagefright bug and feels like it won't end anytime soon. Google is also revamping the turtle and cricket emoji in this update.

The app switcher UI has changed some from that last preview, which was the original major overhaul to the new gesture UI.

New multi-camera APIs let developers access streams simultaneously from two or more physical cameras.

According to Droid-life, some users point to a specific commit causing the issue, citing Google's attempt to fix an always-on blinking issue.

There's a Red Hair and Superhero emoji, both of which are available in two genders and five skin tones, a bagel with cream cheese, a llama and a lobster.
