  • At least 8 women come forward and accuse Morgan Freeman of inappropriate behavior sexual harassment

The show, which was recorded last week, included a joke about Morgan Freeman and was aired on the same day that several women came forward to make accusations of sexual harrasment against the actor.

Freeman's statement came hours after United States news network CNN reported that multiple women had accused the actor of sexual harassment and other troubling behavior on set and in other professional settings.

Some of the inappropriate behaviour also took place at Revelations Entertainment, the production company Freeman founded along with producer Lori McCreary two decades ago, and where staff members described the work environment as toxic for women.

Among the accusers was CNN entertainment reporter Chloe Melas, who said that Freeman had looked her up and down repeatedly and described her as "ripe" during an interview previous year.

A spokesperson for Freeman has not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment; CNN also wrote that it did not receive a response to multiple requests for comment.

"Right when I walked into the room, he began making sexually suggestive comments to me", she said in an interview with HLN.

"You're more shocked than anything because it's hard to have the wherewithal to say to him, "That's inappropriate" ... it's hard because on any set he is the most powerful person on it".

When asked about the incident by ET, Mock told the outlet in a statement, "This interaction is an exhibition of the casual nature at which men in positions of power believe that everything belongs to them, including women's bodies as they're merely just trying to do their job".

Here's Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Wedding Portrait Is So Informal
"It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on", the source said. Davy, 32, was Harry's first major relationship.

She added to CNN: "If I ever passed him he would stare at me in an awkward way, would look me up and down sometimes stopping and just staring".

"Staff knew not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms or any close fittings clothes if Morgan was around", the woman said.

"I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected-that was never my intent", he continued.

CNN reported that eight people told the network they were victims of what some labelled harassment and others called inappropriate behaviour by Freeman.

Freeman with step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines at the 2005 Golden Globes.

During his trial the defence also claimed that Miss Hines, 33, had told Davenport that she and Freeman had had a sexual relationship. "She alleges that Freeman subjected her to unwanted touching and comments about her figure and clothing on a near-daily basis", the report states.

However, his claim that he is not normally one to cause offense contradicts some statements made by his accusers.
