  • CW to Introduce Batwoman in Superhero Crossover This Fall

In turn, as one might surmise, "We're adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse", added CW president Mark Pedowitz, promising "another full-throttled action packed event". Yes, the network's shared universe is about to make way for a member of the Bat-family and we couldn't be more excited about it.

The CW's annual crossover, and Batwoman's first appearance in a movie or television show, is scheduled to air this December.

The DC Comics character of Batwoman, aka Kate Kane, was reimagined in New 52. She would reappear in the '70s, but was eventually killed off for good. Arrowverse continues to be far more successful than DC's movies, so maybe they will allow more of their characters to be featured here. This version is named Kate Kane, a tough-as-nails former military school student, and is actually Bruce Wayne's cousin on his mother's side. The character has previously been in relationships with Renee Montoya and Maggie Sawyer (a connection The CW is surely aware of).

The next big CW crossover will feature the debut of Batwoman and bring Gotham City into the Arrow-verse...

Syria's Assad Meets With Russia's Putin In Sochi
Its navy help not exclusively ensured the survival of Assad's regime, it modified the course of the warfare. The situation in Syria is now favorable for the political process, Russia's president said late Thursday.

Sure, there have been references with Supergirl explicitly mentioning that the city of Gotham exists on her Earth-38, we can't stop to wonder if that is where the crossover will be taking place. Batwoman draws a lot of inspiration from Batman and after an encounter with the caped crusader trains herself in various forms of fighting techniques. We're looking forward to it!

Arrow star Stephen Amell recently teased that he'd be making a major announcement at The CW's Upfronts.
