  • Tesla Shutting Down Operations for 6 Days to Fix Production Issues

The new appointment is another hit for the Elon Musk's company Tesla.

According to an email seen by Electrek, Musk is going to "flatten the management structure", trimming operations and combining roles to make things more efficient.

We reached out to Tesla and will update if we hear back.

Investors are clearly getting exhausted of boisterous statements from Tesla and Musk as they are not yet seeing much substance in these.

Even the report of a record-high revenue did not quash concerns about the carmaker's performance, especially against the background of several new vehicle releases including the Semi truck and a planned Model Y SUV.

Confident through "more uncertainty and worries to the Model 3 production saga", with the loss of a key engineering force within Tesla at a critical time "a bit "head scratching", the analyst stands by the bulls, reiterating an Attractive rating on TSLA stock with a $320 price target".

Musk tweeted that while the eye tracking had been on the table, it was rejected for its ineffectiveness rather than cost. Tesla's Autopilot allows the vehicle to drive itself for short periods of time with steering, acceleration, and braking based on traffic conditions.

Everyone at Tesla is not only encouraged, but expected, to provide criticism and feedback to ensure that we're creating the best, safest cars on the road. However, Tesla has said that he is not leaving the company.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Season Six; FOX & NBC Talk Cancellation & Revival
The studio wouldn't comment, but this wouldn't be the first time that a fan uproar has brought a TV series back from the dead. But Fox was aware others were interested in the show and is "happy" it found a home, she said.

The driver had the vehicle's semi-autonomous Autopilot mode engaged when she slammed into the back of a fire truck, in the latest crash involving a auto with self-driving features.

Police in the Salt Lake City suburb of South Jordan said Monday the driver also said in an interview that she was looking at her phone before the accident. "It is not a self-driving system", Musk said.

The executive cites NHTSA numbers pointing to an automotive fatality every 85 million miles driven in 2017.

At Tesla it is all crash and burn this month, the cars and the financials are under serious scrutiny.

"To ensure that Tesla is well-prepared for the future, we have been undertaking a thorough reorganization of our company", Musk said in the memo, obtained by CNBC.

On Wednesday, the board said he would also investigate Tesla's incident in Florida, in which two teenagers were killed and another was injured.

In a statement, the electric automaker said it hasn't received information about the crash: "Tesla has not yet received any data from the vehicle and thus does not know the facts of what occurred, including whether Autopilot was engaged".
